The New Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School prides itself in offering the best school curriculum and staff of instructors in the outdoor industry. You will learn about the tremendous opportunities in the outfitting business and how to become a top quality professional guide, outfitter, or outdoorsman.

Our school provides hands on instruction conducted in the Rocky Mountains east of Grand Junction. You will learn basic horsemanship and trail riding, packing and backpacking, big game hunting and fly fishing, map and compass skills, wilderness survival, camp cooking, outdoor photography, first aid, and CPR.

Our unique school is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Department of Private Occupational Schools. We are also affiliated with numerous major universities and colleges where you may earn college credit upon graduation. Job placement assistance is available to our qualified graduates.

Our Mission at the New Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School (COAGS) is to provide our students with the best possible education and instruction to become an expert outdoorsman or professional in the outdoor recreation industry. We will provide outdoor recreation companies with the most prepared, skilled, and professional guides and employees available. COAGS will “make a difference” by enhancing the opportunities for all to enjoy and protect natures and the great outdoors.
